UNIT

     Hello, We are the Union for the Negation of Injustice and Tyranny (or UNIT). We are currently becoming a non-profit organization, but until then, we consider ourselves a youth-led activist group (ages ranging from 15-19) based in Arlington, Texas.

 

     Due to the current disparities for marginalized individuals in our communities, UNIT is working to create equity in educational resources, access to said resources, and the overall quality for students across Middle and High Schools. Such underrepresented student groups include but are not limited to: BIPOC, LGBT+, and disabled youth. 

 

    To create viable solutions for these inequities, we are partnering with student-led and community-based groups and organizations. Other than bringing awareness, we will also: raise funds (for youth programs and resources), strive to boost the curriculum to include minority history, educate students and teachers on microaggressions, and help create a more conducive educational & social experience for everyone regardless of ethnicity OR BACKGROUND!
